2 shout outs and the Zombie Spider that ruined my post.

I want to get this out of the way first and foremost.

You should go and check out The Tall One because she has a thing for combining words and I just have a problem speaking. She is my Stalger (blog stalker) and I am hers. It's really a fantastic relationship we have and she lives less than an hour away..

Meant to be?
I think yes.

Also, if you haven't, go read Blunt Delivery.
She is one of my favorite bloggers/people.
She is a fantastic writer no matter what the topic.
Today's 'bite' is beautiful.
Go read her too if you love me.
If not, don't tell me.. I don't want to be sad today.

Okay, now that those are out of the way let's talk about something else! *cue cheering*

I have officially entered the "floating" stage of the year before your birthday.

WAIT, RANDOM INTERJECTION.

Somebody please explain to me how the Spider *shudders* I just smooshed with my shoe has seemingly come back to life?! UMMM, I am really not okay with this since I am 100% arachnophobic and am quite possibly beginning to have a panic attack if I am not already... Um... somebody please tell me we don't have zombie spiders or that spiders now have a super power to come back to life now.

Great. I'm going to have nightmares for weeks.
This is what I get for being freaking arachnaphobic.

again, I am not okay with this.

So back to me being in the floating stage before my birthday thing...
My birthday is 3 months away and to me, maybe not to you, it seems to be flying by but standing still at the same time. I hate this sensation, its like I come to terms with

OHMYGOD, I'm pretty sure the leg just twitched on the Zombie spider. I don't know for sure since I'm trying ot type this out, but you guys, this thing is in my periferals. I can't not see it. It's like I need horse blinders in order of avoid looking at it.

my birthday being close and I'll just have to wait, but I'm getting SO impatient at the same time.
I'd blame it on the fact that I'm turning 21 this year but in reality, I get this way every year around this time because obviously my birthday is my favorite day.

okay guys, I don't think i'm going to be able to finish this post because that really was a zombie spider. I literally came un-balled from when I smooshed it, sat there tapping its foot and the took off scampering down the wall.

Being an adult, I ran out to get someone to kill it for me.

Now I feel like I have things crawling all over me.
This is awful.
I'm going to go cry in a corner now.

ps - in the editting phase of this post, I seriously looked down and jumped out of my chair because I saw my own hair on me. There is something seriously wrong with me people. Does anyone have any idea how to work through arachnaphobia?? I mean, I know I should just go head on with my worst fear but obviously after the above incident, I can't. I mean, in 6th grade, I got out of taking an open book test because there was a spider on one of the pages and I screamed, slammed the book shut and started bawling my eyes out. It was traumatizing for an 11 year old okay? Yes, I mean both the spider being in the book and the fact that I did that in the middle of a SILENT classroom in MIDDLE SCHOOL.

pps - Don't ya'll wish you could be in my head?

pppss - Also, I'd provide a picture of what I think a Zombie Spider looks like, but then I'd never be able to come back to my own blog.. you guys understand that right? Also, if all the mention of the "spee-ider" (think MegaMind) comes back to haunt me here and shows up in my ads, I might have a heart attack... I am not considering changing all of the "s" words into "spee-ider"... tempting.. but I'm lazy.

The Wink Face or my pathetic attempt to add more pictures.

I'm about to embarrass the crap out of myself.
Like for reals.

I have no idea what is possessing me to think this might even remotely be a good idea, but I figure, its Wednesday and we all could use a laugh and what the hell... why not laugh at my expense?

You. are. welcome.*

So remember last week (I do not post enough) when I winked at you at the end of my post and declared it is really hard to take a winking picture? Well, I thought I'd give you the proof of the difficulty I had in making this happen for you guys.

Attempt #1.

As you can see this is failure at its finest. I personally thought it was so bad that I made it a pretty color so your eyes won't completely be burned.

Attempt #2

I look like I got something in my eye on this one and it hurts.. REAL BAD.
FYI, there was nothing in my eye.

Attempt #3.

In which I saved it under "Scream" in My Pictures folder since I am obviously replicating the Scream Mask we have all come to love and adore.

And LAST but not LEAST:

Attempt #4.

The obvious winner considering I got the cute little crinkly winky nose in it. YAY ME!

high fives all around.

*I hate this phrase. I really, really do.

An hour by hour thought process on the day I leave for FL

6 hours.

till I leave for Florida and let me tell you, I AM FREAKING THE EFF OUT completely calm.

But seriously, I'm starting to freak out.

What if I don't have enough money?

Real life smacked me in the face over the last week and I have less money than I intended on having for this trip. I guess I'll have to make do with what I have and continue practicing my frugal ways even while on vacation because I REFUSE to get a credit card.

What if something happens to my car?

We are driving my car down and I'm a little worried something is going to go wrong since A) its brand new (to me) and B) I have approximately ALL of my loan (minus one payment) left on it. So.. yeah. The last thing I need is for something to happen to my car and I have to go through this whole no car process ALL OVER AGAIN.

***

5 Hours until departureOkay so enough of my worries, lets talk about the trip a little bit shall we? :]

One of my best friends has never met her Father.
Up until last year, she only knew his name and that he lived in Florida.
Now she has his address and has sent a letter to him, asking if she can meet him.

I am praying and wishing and all that other nonsense that this goes well, that he is home and that she finds closure. I hope this goes the way we all hope it goes.. You know, that happy go lucky ending like in the movies, where they embrace and spend however long necessary getting to know each other and start building a lasting father-daughter relationship.

That would just make my heart sing.

But I'm having a lot of doubts about that happening.

I just hope to enjoy my vacation.

***

4 hours to go.

and my job is killing me. I am so ready to go home but time is dragging its feet like a small child being told to clean their room.. or maybe that's me when I'm told to clean my room.. whatever.. Today has been so full of blah blah blah and nonsense that I'm ready to just run out of here as fast as physically possible.. Of course, at 4:55 when it's time to go home, I'll be rushing to get everything done because:

1.) I spend far too much time looking at blogs working on organizing paperwork.
2.) I'm on the phone because people that call me at work LOVE TO TALK for more than the 2 minutes necessary
3.) One of my bosses will hand me a project they need completed by the end of the day 6 minutes to 5pm.

UGH.

***

3 hours and 40 minutes to go

I have hidden the time on my computer (with a post-it note thank you!) and have put my phone away.. Maybe if I don't pay attention to the time and just work.. I'll get something done.

Unlikely.

***

UNKNOWN amount of time to go.

I've been successful in not checking the clock every 2 minutes for... I don't know how long now. I honestly don't know how much longer I can hold out.

***

I smell popcorn.
*sigh* too bad I've developed an irrational fear of popcorn since our sale started back in
September.

***

4 minutes to 5... so 2 hours and 4 minutes till go time.

I'm going to leave here as soon as I post this and put some stuff way.

FLORIDA... HERE I COME!

11:11, Woo Girls and the Exclamation Point.

Today is 11/11.

Possibly one of my favorite days of the year.

I wish I could glitterfy 11/11 so you all see how magical and lovely this day is.
I mean seriously, 11/11. 11:11. 11-11. 1111. It doesn't matter how you write/type it, it's just so purdyful. :]

okay, so I went and googled glitter 11/11 and it gave me a picture of possibly the creepiest baby ever. I learned my lesson.

So yes, I love today. I think it is a wonderful day.
I also think it is wonderful that today is to honor our Veteran's.
What a wonderful day. :]

****

On another note..

It dawned on me today, while peeing, that I get a little over excited when my favorite bloggers/people mention my name/follow me/comment/whatever and tend to overuse the exclamation point.

I am not an exclamation point type of girl you see.
I envision those people in my head as a "woo girl", if you haven't seen How I Met Your Mother's "Woo Girl" episode, watch it, you'll understand what I mean.

In fact, here is my very first Vlog in which I try to explain what I mean.

*WARNING* I "woo" very loudly in the middle, turn your volume down if you don't want to burst your ear drums.

Well, that was awkward. My dad is sitting in the next room and just had to bear witness to that.. kind of. I totally made him shut the door because this is nervewracking and embarrassing.
So yeah, my view on the exclamation point.
I don't want to be one of those overly excited people so I clearly need to work on my use of them.

What do you think about exclamation points?

Kitty or VAMPIRE?

I almost died last night.
Don't worry, I'm okay now, but man it was a close call.

I was minding my own business with my darling Zinfandel

Sometimes he is sweet. But thats what Demon's do. Lure you in and then BAM.

Oi.
Anywho, so that is Zinny and since I'm angry at him right now, he gets nasty things said about him here on the interwebz until I'm over being mad at him.

So I'm minding my own business, watching some Castle, Zinny laying by my side when...

[Okay, Zinfandel is seriously a gigantic pussy. Pun 100% intended. He is this big fat cat, who is all macho and "LOOK AT ME" all the time until you click your tongue  or take a step, then he is dashing off to hide behind the curtain where his butt hangs out. YES ZINFANDEL, we see you..]

... he got spooked and did some crazy gymnastics move I didn't know his fatness was capable of and somehow managed to do this...

Face, Kitty Scratch or VAMPIRE BITE?
It was all icky and gooey last night so I opted out of pictures then.

So, I took this as my cat was going for my Juggular.
I kicked his booty everytime he darted from me and hid behind the curtains (okay, I didn't physically kick him, I just took every opportunity to scare the crap out of him I could).

I went downstairs for dinner and told my mom that my cat had tried to kill me.

"That's nice dear"

"No, seriously, Zinfandel tried to kill me."

"I bet he did"

What the heck's that supposed to mean.

Once I was done setting the table (yeah, I still live at home, judge me why dontcha?) I turned around and my mom's face looked like this...

Thankfully, I didn't bleed out.
So scary. Then it occured to me.. what if a Vampire DID swoop in and thats why Zinny freaked out and it wasn't actually him that cut me, it was a Vampire's bite?!

What do you think?
Vampire or Kitty?

Keeping up with Halloween: My biggest fear.

Fear.

I do not do well with being scared.
I get panic attacks.
I can't breath.
While I fear whatever is scaring me, the Panic attack scares the bajeezus out of me too which puts me in quite the predicament and typically just makes the attack so much worse than it should be and lost way longer than necessary.

It takes me a long time to calm down.

I am arachnophobia.
Terribly arachnophobic. Like stand there frozen in fear or run like hell screaming terrified of spiders.

Spiders scare the HELL out of me. I have tried and worked on moving on from this fear for years with limited success. In fact, the only success I've really had is being able to calmly smush a spider in my car while I'm driving. I really had to work on that though, I almost died I don't know how many times because some jerk spider decided to crawl across my steering wheel and I would spaz out nearly crashing my car into whatever was within my vicinity. Needless to say, it was something that needed to be done.

However, if the car is parked I will jump out of my car and run away screaming like hell or just freeze up and wait for it to just start crawling all over me.

*shivers*

I'm getting the heebejeebees just thinking about them. Also, my breathing is starting to become shallow and my heart is racing.. no need to panic.. deep breathing.. HEEEEEE..HOOOOOO...

Okay, let me continue..

It started when we lived on out first farm. There was a window just outside of my bedroom with a little step underneath. It was the PERFECT spot for a nap anytime of the year. The sun felt so good beating down on you and the carpet was just plush enough to give you a good amount of cushion, it was magical. One day, I had taken my pillow out there with me to indulge in my nap (mind you I was like 5 or 6). I fell asleep without a care or fear in the world.. little did I know that would all change in the 45 minutes I slept on my favorite step...

I heard my dad walking in and out of the house and started waking up. I was delirious, sleepy and just beginning to open my eyes... then I saw it. A spider staring at me with one of its 8 legs just tapping up and down 2 feet from my face. Naturally I freaked out thinking this monster was going to/already had laid eggs on or in me or was going to eat my brain (I had a VERY active imagination.). I ran to my bathroom only to discover there was another spider on my face. I freaked right the eff out. I knocked that teeny tiny GIGANTIC spider off my face and ran out of my house faster than a speeding bullet.

I have never been the same.

I have had a long journey trying to battle this fear and really, other than the driving thing, I am no better than when everything first happened 15 years ago. It's like everytime I see one of those things (real or fake) I relive that moment on the step or that moment in the bathroom and feel that initial panic and fear all over again.

Someday I'll share with you the tales of me camping in a spider pit
and the dreams I have about those bastards (You'd think those would be my worst nightmare, but they aren't), but for now, I'm going to grab a paper bag and do some deep breathing excercises before I end up in the corner rocking back and forth.

I don't want to go to the looney bin just yet.

What is your biggest fear? Got any weird phobias?

A Small Dose of Crazy.

It's Halloween.
Obviously.

I think I should get a nod for being so blatant.
*nod here*
Thank you.

I've always been haunted. Things have gone bump in the night around me for as long as I can remember.
I've heard voices, seen things, felt others.. I guess I was just one of the "lucky" ones.. right? Well, I'm just blessed.. or cursed.. depending on how you look at it.

I'm going to tell you a story.
One of the many I have on hand to share..

I grew up on farms. It wasn't until about a year and half ago that my family moved to the city into a newer house so I was used to the creaks and moans of an old house.

When I was 9 we moved into this old farm house. This house (at least one side) was built in the mid 1800's and was creepy. I felt really weird just being in that house let alone sleeping so I did what any 9 year old would do.. I slept in my older sister's room. After 2 months (give or take a few) my sister made me stay in my own room and I didn't sleep for a while but eventually got over it and without too many incidents.

In order to understand this story you need to meet someone..
This is my cat Peeps. She is a demon.
So yeah, that's Peeps. She is a nightmare, but that's a story for a different day...

Peeps seems to think she is a dog and used to drink out of the toilet and as you can see, she's pretty little. She's around 10 years old and still only weighs.. maybe 10lbs. That made it ridiculously easy for her to fall into the toilet when she would drink out of it. I fished her out on many occasion. She isn't the brightest crayon in the box and never learned her lesson.

One night, right around 1:30am, I heard splashing coming from my bathroom. I got up, annoyed, thinking she had once again fallen into my toilet. I stumbled my way to the bathroom with sleepy eyes to find the lid on the toilet down. I lifted it up and there was no cat inside. I shrugged and made my way downstairs to see if maybe she was down there.. Turns out all 3 of my cats were outside wandering on our property.

I didn't think much of it and went back to bed.

3:00am.

I hear the splashing again and now I'm just pissed. I'm disoriented from having been asleep and woken up again so I stomp my way back to the bathroom and walk through the door to find the water running. I walked into the bathroom figuring I had just left the water running and walked forward towards the sink to turn it off.

I got about half way to the sink and I couldn't move anymore. My body was completely paralyzed by some unknown force.. perhaps presence and I stood there and watched as the water started splashing every which way as if someone was smacking their hand back and forth through the water soaking me and my bathroom to the bone.

I watched in pure horror until it stopped abruptly and I rushed forward and turned the water off and hauled ass back to my bed and crawled under my covers and didn't resurface until late into the morning when I heard sounds of life downstairs and the sun was all but half way through the sky.

This kind of shit happened to me all the time there. No one else in my family ever had these kinds of experiences.

Basically, my family thinks I'm a little nutty because of it.
Me?
I'm a believer in the after life.
Maybe that does make me crazy.

For another one of my ghost stories go to Midwestern Mama's page on Saturday, October 30th where I talk about the time I actually saw something.

Have you had any ghostly experiences?
